Welcome to The Legacy Engine Publishing House and rocketbuoy.com.

This website provides books, research, educational materials, organizational tools, downloadable resources, articles, and related products associated with The Legacy Engine Series and other works published by The Legacy Engine Publishing House.

By using this website, downloading materials, purchasing products, or using information provided through this site, you agree to the following terms.

1. Educational and Informational Purpose

The books, articles, models, formulas, worksheets, software tools, exercises, examples, and other materials provided through this website are intended for educational, research, planning, and informational purposes.

They are not a substitute for:

  • professional legal advice;
  • medical or mental-health advice;
  • engineering advice;
  • accounting or financial advice;
  • regulatory guidance;
  • official fire-service standards;
  • local policies or procedures;
  • professional risk-management advice; or
  • decisions made by qualified authorities having jurisdiction.

Fire departments, emergency-services organizations, businesses, public agencies, and individuals operate under different laws, regulations, standards, policies, resources, and local conditions.

Users are responsible for determining whether any concept, recommendation, model, calculation, procedure, or resource is appropriate for their particular circumstances.

2. Use at Your Own Risk

All materials are provided “as is” and without guarantees regarding results.

The Legacy Engine Publishing House and its authors make reasonable efforts to provide accurate and useful information, but no book, mathematical model, organizational framework, worksheet, computer tool, article, or other resource can account for every real-world circumstance.

You assume responsibility for how you interpret and apply the information provided.

Decisions affecting emergency operations, personnel safety, staffing, training, policy, organizational structure, financial expenditures, regulatory compliance, or community protection remain the responsibility of the organization and its authorized leadership.

Use of information from this website does not transfer responsibility for those decisions to The Legacy Engine Publishing House, its authors, contributors, contractors, or service providers.

3. Fire and Emergency Services Disclaimer

Emergency response is inherently hazardous.

Nothing published by The Legacy Engine Publishing House should be interpreted as an instruction to disregard applicable laws, recognized safety requirements, departmental policies, manufacturer instructions, professional standards, or the authority having jurisdiction.

Models such as staffing calculations, workload measures, organizational assessments, attrition projections, or other Legacy Engine tools are intended to support analysis and discussion. They do not guarantee operational performance, response capability, firefighter safety, financial results, or favorable emergency outcomes.

Local conditions and professional judgment must always be considered.

4. Intellectual Property and Copyright

Unless otherwise specifically stated, all original text, research frameworks, models, graphics, exercises, tables, formulas, illustrations, books, articles, software concepts, and other original materials published through The Legacy Engine Publishing House are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual-property laws.

Purchasing, downloading, viewing, or receiving access to a work does not transfer ownership of the copyright or intellectual property.

You may not, without written permission:

  • reproduce an entire book or substantial portion of a book;
  • republish our books or articles under another name;
  • upload complete copyrighted works to another website or distribution platform;
  • sell or commercially redistribute copies of downloadable materials;
  • remove or alter copyright notices or attribution;
  • claim authorship or ownership of Legacy Engine materials;
  • incorporate substantial portions of the material into another commercial publication;
  • create unauthorized commercial editions or derivative publications; or
  • use protected material in a manner that falsely suggests endorsement, partnership, or authorship.

Normal quotation for review, scholarship, commentary, education, and other uses permitted by law remains unaffected.

Some individual books, worksheets, exercises, or resources may expressly provide additional permission for internal educational or noncommercial use. When a specific publication grants such permission, the terms printed within that publication control for that material.

5. Trademarks and Framework Names

Names, marks, framework titles, logos, and distinctive identifiers associated with The Legacy Engine Publishing House and The Legacy Engine Series may be protected by trademark, copyright, or other intellectual-property rights.

Use of a term for legitimate discussion, citation, education, or commentary does not imply ownership or endorsement.

Commercial use of protected branding or materials requires permission.

6. Free Online Reading and Downloads

Some books and resources are intentionally made available to read online or download without charge.

Free access does not place the work in the public domain.

Copyright and intellectual-property protections continue to apply regardless of whether a reader paid for the material.

A free PDF may be downloaded and used by the person receiving it for personal, educational, or authorized organizational use, subject to the copyright terms applicable to that publication.

Free materials may not be commercially republished, resold, or redistributed as another publisher’s product.

7. Print Book Sales and Returns

Many physical books sold through this website are produced using print-on-demand fulfillment.

Because a copy is manufactured specifically in response to an order, print book sales are final and books are not accepted for return because a customer changed their mind, ordered the wrong item, or no longer wants the book, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

If a book arrives:

  • damaged in shipment;
  • materially defective;
  • incorrectly manufactured; or
  • substantially different from the product ordered,

please contact The Legacy Engine Publishing House promptly with the order information and, when appropriate, photographs documenting the problem.

We will work with the applicable printing and fulfillment provider, including Lulu Direct when applicable, to investigate and resolve verified printing or shipping problems.

Customers should contact The Legacy Engine Publishing House first rather than attempting to return a print-on-demand book independently.

8. Digital Products

Digital products are generally delivered electronically.

Once a paid digital product has been delivered or made available for download, the transaction is normally considered final except where required by applicable law or where the delivered file is defective or materially different from the product purchased.

Materials offered for $0.00 remain subject to the same copyright and use restrictions as purchased materials.

9. Prices, Availability, and Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate pricing, product descriptions, availability information, and publication details.

However, printing costs, shipping charges, taxes, product availability, third-party fulfillment costs, and other factors may change.

We reserve the right to correct errors, update descriptions, modify prices, discontinue products, or change availability when necessary.

10. Third-Party Services

This website uses third-party services to provide certain functions.

These may include services such as:

When necessary to complete a transaction or provide a requested service, information may be transmitted to these providers.

Their handling of information is also governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

The Legacy Engine Publishing House is not responsible for outages, delays, errors, policies, or conduct that are outside its reasonable control and originate with an independent third-party provider.

  • responding to requests;
  • maintaining transaction records;
  • preventing fraud or misuse;
  • improving website operation; and
  • sending communications when you have separately chosen to receive them.

12. Email and Communication Consent

Purchasing a book or downloading a resource does not automatically constitute consent to receive newsletters, marketing messages, or research communications.

Where optional email subscriptions or communication lists are offered, participation should be voluntary.

You may unsubscribe from optional communications using the method provided with those communications.

Transactional messages necessary to complete an order, provide a requested download, address a customer-service issue, or communicate important information about a transaction are not considered optional marketing messages.

13. Payment Information

Payment-card transactions are processed through third-party payment processors such as Stripe.

The Legacy Engine Publishing House does not need to directly possess or retain complete payment-card numbers in order to process normal website transactions.

Payment processing is subject to the security systems, terms, and privacy policies of the applicable processor.

14. Cookies and Analytics

The website may use cookies, analytics, server logs, or similar technologies necessary for normal website operation, security, shopping-cart functions, performance measurement, and understanding how visitors use the site.

These technologies may collect general information such as browser type, device information, referring pages, pages visited, and approximate geographic or technical information.

Such information may be processed by service providers that support website operation and analytics.

15. External Links

This website may contain links to third-party websites, publishers, research materials, government resources, retailers, distributors, or other external services.

A link does not necessarily constitute endorsement.

The Legacy Engine Publishing House does not control and is not responsible for the accuracy, availability, security, content, privacy practices, or policies of independent external websites.

16. User Responsibility

Users agree not to misuse this website or its materials.

Prohibited activities include attempts to:

  • interfere with website operation;
  • gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts;
  • misuse customer or user information;
  • circumvent reasonable access controls;
  • distribute malicious software;
  • fraudulently obtain products or services; or
  • use copyrighted materials in violation of these terms or applicable law.

17. No Guarantee of Results

Organizational improvement, employee or volunteer retention, staffing stability, recruiting outcomes, financial savings, leadership development, operational performance, or other results depend on many factors outside the control of The Legacy Engine Publishing House.

Examples, case discussions, formulas, models, projections, or recommendations illustrate methods of analysis and do not constitute promises or guarantees of future results.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Legacy Engine Publishing House, its authors, contributors, and associated parties will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages resulting from the use or inability to use information, products, models, tools, downloads, or resources provided through this website.

Nothing in these terms is intended to waive rights or protections that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

19. Changes and Corrections

Research, publications, software tools, models, website content, and policies may evolve.

We reserve the right to correct errors, revise materials, update these terms, change website functions, and modify policies when necessary.

The version posted on this website represents the current terms governing use of the site unless another specific written agreement applies.

20. Governing Law

These terms are intended to be governed by the laws applicable to The Legacy Engine Publishing House in the State of Colorado, subject to any consumer protections or other legal rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

21. Contact

Questions regarding an order, damaged book, copyright permission, privacy issue, or these terms should be directed to The Legacy Engine Publishing House through the contact information provided on rocketbuoy.com.

Plain-Language Summary

We try to keep this simple:

We do not sell your personal information.

Downloading or reading a book for free does not mean the copyright disappears.

You may learn from and use our work, but you may not copy our books and republish or sell them as your own.

Our books, models, formulas, and tools are educational resources. You are responsible for deciding how they are used in your organization.

Print-on-demand books are not returnable simply because you change your mind. If your book arrives damaged or defective, contact us and we will work with the fulfillment provider to resolve the problem.

Buying or downloading something does not automatically subscribe you to marketing email.

Our goal is to make The Legacy Engine material widely accessible while protecting the research, publications, readers, and organizations that use it.
